MINVEST User Stories
MINVEST extends the traditional INVEST criteria by adding a requirement that each story be Measurable by identifying specific success metrics.
This ensures the teams can take a truly data-informed approach vs speculating if a story or epics was successful or not.
A Measurable story must specify:
- Which specific metric(s) we will use to monitor our progress and success (or not)
- How the metric is calculated (the exact formula or method)
- The target value expected after the story is deployed
- A baseline value, when the metric already exists
