Story Huddle

A story huddle is an activity where the team members who will work on a given story get together to determine the necessary tasks, identify any potential impediments and mitigations, and their execution plan.

This group of team members is referred to as the story flight crew.

Story huddles happen at any time during a sprint when the flight crew pick up the story from the sprint backlog and are about to move it into progress. The story huddle should happen before moving the story in case any critical impediments are identified that will prevent the flight crew from starting work.
