Velocity
Velocity is the total effort associated with the user stories that the team completed and delivered within a defined time frame, typically a sprint or an iteration.
It is usually depicted numerically by adding up the story points of all the stories completed.
Teams can utilize their velocity data for both short-term and long-term planning purposes. For instance, they can gauge the number of stories they can feasibly handle in the upcoming sprint or estimate when the entire project might reach completion.
However, it's essential to note that velocity is not intended for evaluating a team's productivity.
Since velocity is influenced by the story point estimates, which are unique to each team's assessment process, it should never be directly compared between different teams.
